How To Clean Your TV Screen

As TVs have become more advanced, their screens have also become more delicate and prone to damage. Cleaning a TV screen may seem like a simple task, but using the wrong products or techniques can damage the screen and reduce its lifespan. In this article, we will guide you through the steps of how to clean TV screens properly.

Step 1: Turn off the TV

Before cleaning your TV screen, make sure it is turned off and unplugged from the power source. This will prevent any accidental damage to the screen and keep you safe while cleaning.

Step 2: Remove Dust

Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the TV screen to remove any loose dust and dirt. Avoid using paper towels or rough fabrics, as they can scratch the surface of the screen.

Step 3: Spray some Áthos Multi-Surface Cleaner

If the dust and dirt are still visible after using a dry cloth, it's time to use a cleaning solution. Be sure to use a cleaning solution specifically designed for TV screens, as other products may contain chemicals that can damage the screen. Áthos cleaners are 100% plant-based and will therefore cause no harm.

If you don't have any product on hand, use a solution of equal parts distilled water and vinegar. Mix the solution in a spray bottle and lightly spray it on the screen. Be careful not to oversaturate the screen, as excess liquid can damage the TV.

Step 4: Wipe the Screen

Using a soft, microfiber cloth, gently wipe the screen in a circular motion. Avoid pressing too hard or using a back-and-forth motion, as this can damage the screen. Be sure to wipe the entire surface of the screen, including the edges.

Step 5: Dry the Screen

After cleaning the screen, use a dry microfiber cloth to remove any excess moisture. Gently wipe the screen in a circular motion until it is completely dry. Do not use a hairdryer or any other heat source to dry the screen, as this can cause damage.

Step 6: Clean the Surrounding Area

While cleaning the TV screen, be sure to also clean the surrounding area. Dust and dirt can accumulate around the edges of the screen, so use a soft cloth to gently wipe the area clean.

In conclusion, cleaning your TV screen requires a gentle touch and the right cleaning products. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can safely clean your TV screen and maintain its lifespan. Remember to avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture, and always be gentle when wiping the screen. Clean naturally with our plant-based cleaning product.
